We appreciate your time and trust during the psychological evaluation process. We understand that these appointments may raise many questions, and we stand ready to support you. While there are exceptions, these are the general steps that follow your appointment today:
Testing results are reviewed by your provider – After the evaluation, the psychologist will score and interpret the tests, combining this with information gathered from the interview, record reviews, and other assessments. To ensure that everything is included in the final report, please complete/submit all records and assessments on the day of the appointment. This helps avoid delays in getting the report and makes sure all the information you want considered is included. Information or test results submitted after the report is written cannot be added.
Possible Additional Testing– We strive to complete all testing on the same day, but sometimes the psychologist may find more extensive testing as necessary to provide the most useful answers to your questions. If this happens, you will be contacted to schedule a date.
Results will be emailed to you four (4) to six (6) weeks after all forms and tests needed for the evaluation are completed, unless other arrangements or agreements were made. – The psychologist will compile the information into a single report, which is a time -and resource-intensive process. You will receive a password-protected .pdf file via email, which outlines the results and treatment recommendations. Take some time to review the report and treatment recommendations, then share it with your primary care doctor and/or other professionals involved in your care to set up appropriate treatment referrals if warranted.
Feedback Session– If you have more questions after you review the report, you can schedule a telehealth session with one of our specialists by calling 210-314-3476 or emailing feedback@stonebridgealliance.com. During this session, the specialist will go over the results, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations, while outlining the next steps you can take to begin treatment.
Billing – You will notice billing dates after your actual appointment, and that’s completely normal. After your visit, we still have to spend time reviewing your test results, scoring everything, and writing up your full evaluation report. These steps are a key part of the service and have to be reported to your insurance, which is why they will show up on dates that occur after today’s appointment.
